The Snow Day

"Hannah,! Wake up! It's an emergancy!!"
I felt an icy chill through my spine as she grabbed me.
"No, it's a prank"
I thought. Her icy fingers gripped my wrist tightly as I was dragged out of bed.
"It's a prank," I kept thinking " I know it is."
At least that's what I thought, until she opened the curtain. I gasped. I cupped my hands over my mouth. I froze. I stared out into the endless white snow. It looked like a giant teddy bear had been ripped apart and the stuffing was spread everywhere, like a white abyss.

  1. I really liked the memoir Hannah and how you thought it was a prank I liked that the most.

  2. Hannah, I shared this piece of writing with the teachers at my syndicate meeting today. They were very impressed by the quality of your memoir writing and each made a comment that you would have been proud of...I was!
